Thanks Melody!!
I’m hoping it will become a great resource for people over the coming months and years ahead.
Lot of informative and helpful people on this blog. The site hasn’t even been up for 20 hours yet and it is already getting a decent amount of traffic.

In the February 6, 2006 (next weeks) New Yorker magazine there’s an awesome cartoon that made me immediately think of the fucked buyer.
Two kids standing over a sandcastle with one of them saying, “I hope we can flip it before the tide comes in.”

Thank you from a Chicago reader. You are performing a valuable service, and are a credit to your profession.

Time for a small format gripe. It seems like the
background got a little darker in the last few
hours. This makes some of the text (like the dates
and the links to the comments pages) VERY difficult
to read (grey on grey).

I’ll take a look at that when I get a chance.
Thanks!

glad you mentioned the SD inventory. The entire month of January has been a banner month for inventory growth in most of the major bubble centers. SD/LV/OC all had >2000 increase in inventory this past month. LA and Riverside both saw ~3000 increases. And Phoenix had 6300 new For Sales signs planted on desert landscaped front yards across the valley.

After the big game, they can turn that ritzy stadium into a shelter for homeless ex-auto workers.

I hope we don’t have to listen to a bunch of di tec and lending commercials. I am sick and tired of listening to the bs they say. I hope the game is good and really don’t care who wins. Its a plus for either team. Each deserves a superbowl title for sure.

Speaking of cartoons, today’s Foxtrot is on topic as well:

I really like the new format. Goodluck with the consulting. I hope people who are struggling with their decision will reach out and seek your assistance. Sometimes our best moves in life are the ones we didn’t take.
If I only have time to hit one site of interest in my day, this is it. I love the content and comments.
